Get to know Horseshoe Market Premier Sponsor 2016: Modern Gingham Preserves

Modern Gingham Preserves is an artisanal preserve company based in Denver, CO. Each jams made by Modern Gingham are made from organically grown or certified organic produce. The fruit is hand picked or foraged whenever possible. The flavors are unique and we describe them as highly fruity, subtly sweet, and softly set. Modern Gingham Preserves was established in 2012, after the founder, Katharine, decided to forage and preserve the fruit of local fruit trees that would otherwise go unpicked. A former Ph.D. scientist, and an avid canner, Katharine was always searching for complex, fruit forward jams to serve on her toast. The jams she wanted to create were unique and were to taste of the fruit preserved. The jams made by Modern Gingham Preserves are made in small batches. While the flavor and spice combinations are unique, the jams taste precisely of the fruit-any additional spices are added to compliment the preserved fruit. The result is jam that is versatile: tasty on bread, added to a vinaigrette, used on a cheese plate, in a mixed drink, or mixed in yogurt.
