Today we’re inspired by a few things…Presidents’ Day (mostly because the husband is home!), and Pinterest. I’m pretty sure most of you reading this blog know about Pinterest, have an account, and are aware of Pinterest addiction. However, if you aren’t familiar with the site, check out this article, or this one, to give you a run down and “how-to” of the newest social media craze, and one of the fastest growing website out there.
What I love most about Pinterest is that you can create boards so easily and it really can be a vehicle for inspiration. Whether it’s inspiration for your home, places you want to visit, crafts you’d like to take up–it makes all of your desires tangible. You can basically create virtual “vision boards.” A vision board is usually made on a poster board with cut out pictures of things you want or desire. For example, maybe you are struggling financially. You could create a vision board focusing on financial freedom–cutting out images from magazines that make you think of, and “feel” financial freedom. Maybe it’s pictures of wine country, or beaches, or really nice shoes. The idea is that if you surround yourself with images of what you want, you’re more likely to get them. Kinda hokey, but fun. The key to a vision board is not over-thinking. Simply choose images that speak to you intuitively and make a collage.
Or a pin board! Here are some images from our 2012 Horseshoe Market inspiration pinboard.

We are just kinda into color lately...to see where we got our images, click this collage to take you to our pinboard.
We are hoping that the 2012 Horseshoe Markets are filled with some seriously fun stuff–like rad visual art, juicy hand-knit and fiber goods, recycled and upcycled goods, and to hard-to-find vintage treasures. From the looks of our Spring Market applications, the Horseshoe is on its way to matching the feel of our inspiration board! (And for those of you wanting to apply, do it by Wednesday!)
We’d love to see what you’re pinning these days. Leave us a comment below!
Have a great day, folks. Oh, and follow us on Pinterest!
