Vintage Lifestyle: Dream job

By March 21, 2012Blog

Tuesday morning, I met up with local thrift blogger DeeAnna of Thrifting Denver. Like all great connections that are made these days, DeeAnna and I started chatting via Facebook and decided we should meet in real life!

We met for coffee and chatted—the presence of a Goodwill right next door was hanging over us like a pinata stuffed with candy at a kid’s birthday party. After exchanging vital information (our best finds, favorite stores, fave blogs etc.) and sucking down some choice beverages, we scooted over to the Goodwill to see what treasures we could find.

DeeAnna found this adorable 1950s metal kitchen cart!

And I found this 1980s velvet Victor Costa formal!

DeeAnna has the most amazing job EVER!  She spends her week photographing and blogging for Goodwill Industries of Denver. She is clever and hilarious and I highly recommend adding her to your daily blog roll. Goodwill isn’t just a great place to find vintage treasures, they also provide career development training and job skills training to over 15,000 youth in Denver each year.

Be sure to check out their brand new concept store “Deja Blue” located at 303 University Blvd. It opens Saturday bright and early at 9 a.m! Read more about it here.

Happy thrifting, friends!
