Browsing through the Horseshoe Holiday Market is a perfect way to spend a chilly November day indoors, especially in a gorgeous building like the Highlands Masonic Temple. We know holiday shopping for your loved ones can be tough, and the number of talented makers at our markets can be overwhelming. This post is here to help!

Amy and Doug picked some of their favorite vendors who will be at the Horseshoe Holiday Market during Thanksgiving weekend this year. Our vendor gift guide will help you find a perfect present for all your loved ones: the friend obsessed with all things vintage, the caring person who loves supporting sustainable and local makers, the outdoorsy guy or gal who goes on adventures every weekend, and more!

For vintage and antique lovers

The vintage lover in your life (and yes, that includes you!) will love a lucky find from UKA Market’s perfectly curated and handpicked vintage collection. UKA Market always has an amazing selection of cozy coats, hats, boots, and beautiful home decor items at every market. Vintage lovers like Amy can’t resist pieces like a beautifully worn-in vintage bag or a gorgeous fur shawl, which would make a perfect accessory for a holiday party.

Vogel Haus Vintage is another vintage boutique that specializes in wonderful vintage finds and interesting trinkets. They also have a collection of “mantiques” for the guy in your life who loves vintage accessories or knick-knacks. Browsing their collection of items like skeleton keys, perfumes, watch fobs and compact mirrors make you feel like you’re on a vintage treasure hunt. And you’ll feel like you struck gold when you find that perfect vintage item for a friend or family member.

As you might guess from their name, Nomad Vinyl is a traveling record store that carries the best of the best in vintage vinyl, according to Doug. Nomad Vinyl doesn’t just carry vinyl records, though; their curated collection also includes antique items like maps, prints and books. Maybe you’ll find a prized book for an antique collector, or you’ll score a record in great condition for your vinyl-loving friend.

For outdoorsy or on-the-go types

We Coloradans love our state and all the natural wonders it has to offer. One of our brand new vendors this year, Wanderwide, makes really cool screen printed posters that will appeal to mountain climbers and outdoors lovers. Plus, posters like The 14er Summit Register or the National Parks Register come with a stamp and ink pad! Your adventurer can proudly display what outdoor adventures they’ve accomplished and what they’re excited to take on in the future.

If you’re in the market for amazing, handcrafted leather goods, check out Range Leather. Doug is old school and loves their line of Dopp kits and shaving and grooming accessories. If your husband, brother or dad needs a new traveling case (and you know they won’t buy it themselves,) upgrade them to a sleek, water resistant leather case. Other great items include the leather and mason jar Range Mug or the Bennett Journal, which make wonderful presents for on-the-go adventurers.

Many of us Coloradans probably have at least one person in our life who loves being a local. Gift that person something from Moore Collection! This husband and wife team creates great t-shirts, apparel and accessories for all things Colorado, mountain and outdoor. Moore Collection’s shirt designs about camping and traveling give off dreamy retro vibes. Doug knows you can never have too many Moore Collection shirts, but they have hats, sweatshirts and apparel for the kids too.

For those who like gifts that give back

For unique, affordable, and incredibly wearable jewelry, check out Canned Goods. Every piece of jewelry in the Canned Goods collection is repurposed from tin food cans. And for each item purchased through their Can Do Good program, Canned Goods gives one can of food to charity. Jewelry lovers will love eye-catching cuff bracelets or drop earrings that can be dressed up for a special occasion or worn every day.

Weird Birds creates whimsical, handmade toys and dolls made from reclaimed and upcycled materials for children (or the young at heart!) Amy loves the entire Weird Birds collection. There are diverse dolls in multiple shades of skin color, various gender options, and inclusive body shapes. Every Weird Birds item is vibrantly colored, beautiful, and made with positivity and kindness.

Perfect for your caffeine addict friend or family member, Good Trip Coffee offers cold brew, coffee infusions, mixed grounds and whole beans. Since their coffee is flavored using botanicals rather than sugar, and ingredients are clean and free of chemical flavorings or dairy, Good Trip Coffee drinkers can feel good about drinking this local brew. The feel-good effects don’t stop there: Good Trip Coffee source from women and smallholders exclusively to promote sustainable communities, and they contribute a percentage of all sales towards education at origin.

For homebodies and home decor fans

Amy is a huge textile lover, and My Bohemian House always brings beautiful textiles and home goods to every Horseshoe Craft & Flea Market event. Your stylish friend or family member who rocks a boho or global style will love a Moroccan Sabra Silk pillow to spice up their living room, or a vintage African Mudcloth blanket to cozy up with on the couch. Their Instagram page is full of inspiration on using their textiles and goods in your home, too.

There’s something special about gifting a loved one something handmade when it’s crafted with love, care and passion. Heather Kegel Studios (a Boulder local!) creates handcrafted home goods and kitchen accessories. A handmade ornament will please those who love holiday decor. And a beautiful porcelain mug makes a great gift for coffee or tea lovers. The hand-carved cactus design is perfect for those who embody the Southwestern aesthetic. And as an added bonus, Heather Kegel Studios donates 5% of all purchases of Adventure Collection items–including this cactus mug–to the Outdoor Alliance, a nonprofit organization that works to conserve public lands.

One of the easiest ways to get into the holiday spirit is to decorate your home with a fresh evergreen wreath! Pick up a handmade onsite wreath by Little Shop of Floral at the Horseshoe Holiday Market. Not only is an evergreen wreath a classic holiday smell, along with peppermint or a crackling fire, but decorating it and hanging it up can be a fun activity for the whole family. The Thanksgiving holiday weekend is the perfect time to start putting up wreaths and decorations, so don’t forget to pick up your own handmade holiday wreath!

…and stocking stuffers for everyone

So you got your outdoorsy friend a new journal to accompany them on their next camping trip. If you need a stocking stuffer that continues the rugged adventuring theme, why not include a few bars of handmade soap from Mountain Time Soap? Amy loves their branding and their focus on all-natural skin care that’s good for the environment and your skin. Mountain Time Soap doesn’t use any artificial dyes, fragrance, or lathering agents. Their soaps are plant-based and natural, made with clays, botanicals and pure essential oils.

You can’t go wrong with candles as stocking stuffers, and they also make wonderful hostess gifts for that one person who throws excellent holiday parties every year. This year’s Horseshoe Holiday Market will host a few small batch candle makers. Talk to Wooly Wax Candles about creating your very own custom scent. Check out unique candles named for constellations or gemstones at Candelaria. Or find the perfect holiday scent like winter pine or rose and fir in a candle from Light Provisions.

As a former restaurateur, Doug loves tasting all the incredible food that Horseshoe has to offer. One of his long standing favorites is K-Sauce, with their amazing line of handcrafted hot sauces. If you have a daring friend or family member who loves trying new hot sauces, they’ll like K Sauce’s Original Hot Sauce, which ranks an 8 out of 10 on their scale of hotness. For your milder friends, the Mean Green Hot Sauce packs less of a burn (4 out of 10 on the hotness scale) but is still rich in flavor with tangy tomatillos and three different kinds of peppers. Every K Sauce hot sauce bottle urges you to “use with reckless abandon!” and we wholeheartedly agree!

Remember, our Horseshoe Holiday Market is on November 24th and 25th (Small Business Saturday!) at the Highlands Masonic Temple at 35th and Federal Boulevard. Don’t miss all these wonderful vendors at the Horseshoe Holiday Market!
